How to use it

  1. Choose the most specific business type.
  2. Enter details exactly as they appear on your Google Business Profile.
  3. Copy the code and paste it inside a script block in your site's head section (or use your CMS's code field).
  4. Test it with Google's Rich Results Test.

Why it matters

Structured data tells search engines exactly who you are, where you are, when you're open, and which areas you serve. Google says schema isn't required for AI features, but it remains a recommended part of SEO, and consistent business facts across your site and profiles help both search engines and AI assistants describe you accurately.

Questions about this tool

What is LocalBusiness schema?

It's structured data, written in a format called JSON-LD, that describes your business details in a way search engines read reliably.

Where do I put the code?

Paste it inside a script tag of type application/ld+json in the head of your homepage or contact page. Most website builders have a field for custom code.

Should service-area businesses add an address?

Only if customers visit you there. Service-area businesses can leave the street empty and list the areas they serve instead.
